Opposite the station is a large concrete shell.

That was supposed to be complete by November 2016 but sits unfinished. Wonder why ?

I've been through Hayes centre a few times this week and what a s**thole it's become.

They can't park, they park on the double yellows regardless of what's behind, the fruit shops sprawl out across the pavement. Little India.

Hi Kremmen, the construction company went into administration some time ago, the project was recently taken over though so hopefully will be finished soon:

I really will try to post my dashcam footage very soon. The most dramatic changes lately have been around the station, where a lot of redevelopment has taken place (and still is).

Hi Jon, did you manage to post your footage on youtube? Would be very interested to see how Hayes is getting on these days, I go by on the train every so often and can see there's been a lot of construction by the railway line over the last few years.

There's lots of high rise construction everywhere.

The area that caught me out was Vauxhall. There must be 20 or 30 very high rise blocks going in.

This country is going to be so over populated very soon. Much more than now.

Plus, all these flats, where does the power and water come from. We're nearly running out now.

5G network,"smart cities", "smart appliances", "Smart meters", and rationing based on your carbon footprint?

Indeed. Drive 31 in a 30 zone and the smart meter will turn your fridge off..if it hasn't done so already because you inadvertently used up your carbon credits by buying a second burger this month at MacDonalds thus incurring a penalty.
