Isaiah was a prophet who prophesied to Judah (Israel) between 739 B.C and 686 B.C. Here are two of Isaiah’s prophecies from the Old Testament concerning Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Prophecy 1: Isaiah 7:14 [NKJV] 14 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (meaning “God with us”).
Prophecy 2: Isaiah 9:6 - 7 [NKJV] 6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Who is Jesus Christ?. Here's the answer: John 1:1 - 5 [NKJV] 1 IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Here is the reason for The Season of GOODWILL toward men: John 3:16 - 21 [NKJV] 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 “For everyone practising evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 “But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
Romans 10:11 – 13 [NKJV] 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him (Jesus Christ) will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek (Gentile), for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” [NKJV]
