The EU will have to agree the national budgets of heavily indebted countries under a deal to be signed tomorrow at a summit in Brussels attended by David Cameron.

The move will mean Greece losing control over its own budget, after Germany and the International Monetary Fund laid down increasingly harsh conditions for the indebted nation to receive its second £100 billion eurozone bail-out.

Eisen Kanzeler von Merkel and Napoleon Sarkozy must be creaming their shreddies hoping they can pull this one off.......

Not so much a laughing matter is the fact that any Country which agrees to this places their very sovereignty on the line. Will the Greeks get a referendum? Will the Irish and Portuguese? Will they hell!! How can politicians be allowed to hand over this much power without seeking a mandate from its population.

The EU is demanding whole Countries hand over power which will place their entire identity as an independent nation at risk.

Greek officials have reacted angrily to a leaked German proposal for an EU budget commissioner with veto powers over Greek taxes and spending.

The Greek government said it must remain in control of its own budget.

The European Commission says it wants to reinforce its monitoring of Greek finances, but Greece should retain sovereign control.

Good on Greece tell them to foxtrot oscar.

This is what it's always been about. The other day, Merkel was already talking as if she was de facto ruler of Europe. I would say this is probably why the economies of so many countries have been quite deliberately crashed. The old Hegelian Dialectic trick.
