Heard a mention that a pensioners group were trying to get a trip to the Olympic site to have a look at where their money is going, and lets be honest, they will be getting the least value of all when the games do start, the proportion of their pension being used is far greater than those who are working, and is tantamount to extortion, and exploitation of the elderly. so how about it LBH the proportion of our income is greater than most. :( ;)

Agree with you Jim.

Us Londoners have financed this mess and we should be given free tickets. I will not watch or support the Olympics. The legacy that twat Coe goes on about is rubbish, there will be no legacy apart from his EGO and a total waste of peoples money.

Just look at all the other host countries and see what a waste these games are and the debt they are in.

Just another waste of our money, typical of this country.

2012 is an ego boost for a few, a few who have earned well out of it, the true cost in human misery of people forced to pay for it out of what little they have, along with paying for a Mayor and all the trimmings we don't need, in order to convince the world all is well in GB Ltd, when we all know what a chithole London realy is, Ken and Boris should take off their rose tinted glasses and just look, with an honest and open mind. pensioners living within the M25 paying for the games and two useless Mayors so far. people sleeping in shop doorways, the dregs of Europe here looking for a better life, beggars, prostitutes, muggers. gangs, druggies, Mickey Mouse Police service, our heritage? what we have become, or what we was left by the last Government ? which ever way you cut it, we is in deep poo. :( :o :(

there was talk on a coach trip around the Olympic site for the pensioners to see where their slice of pension is spent, but typical this seems to have died the death of polypromises. :o :o

Jim, why are you complaining? The whole games is only costing Londoners the price of a walnut whip

With some items on the Olympic shopping list turning out to be woefully under budgeted - such as security more than doubling to more than half a £billion - wonder how far off Ken's walnut whip promise will turn out to be?

The reason I am complaining is as a London Tax payer, like the other few million of us we were taken as mere Tax fodder, on the whim of a liar who at the time was the Mayor, Boris for all his faults has been landed with this multi billion headache, me as one of the London underpaid pensioners stand back wondering just how this disproportionate state of affairs was allowed to manifest itself into the unstoppable juggernaut of wholesale robbery befalling us, on a show that we have no way of being part of, other than pay, pay, pay, while Livingstone will wallow in the glory of bringing the circus to town, from the VIP lounge, about time we had a Mayor who is in it for what is best for London, with a fair and just way of paying for it, and just why is London only paying, for the white elephant of the facilities that will just decay once the games are over?? ;) ;)

Sport has nothing to do with it, as far as Ken or Boris, its a political agenda, as to what they perceive what we want, and to gain favour from the electorate. at least Boris rides a bike. :o ;)

It now seems the old folk who go to the sports club for wrinklies can PAY £2 for a trip to the Olympic site to see where their money has gone but its members who do the the sports thing that can go no room for Husbands and Wives, makes you wonder what sort of two bit Council we have, maybe if only one of them paid Council Tax a case could be made, but this is just total meanness, not particular good value for the amount they extract from our pensions, shame on you councillor for the aged, who boasts he is their champion. :( :( :( :( :(

Hypnotist

It was entertainment night at the Senior Citizens Center.
Claude the hypnotist explained: "I'm here to put you into a trance;
I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience."
The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from his coat.
"I want each of you to keep your eyes on this antique watch. It's a very special watch.
It's been in my family for six generations."
He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting,
"Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch..."
The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface.
A hundred pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch until, suddenly, the chain broke; it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred pieces.
"SHIT!" said the hypnotist.
It took three days to clean up the Senior Citizens Center.
Claude was never invited back. ;)
