Yes, just a low warning of some higher than usual wind.

being as the council came and cut a hedge yesterday and left most of it across the road the wind will shift it E or NE which is fine with me :)

I would report it as fly-tipping ;)

I see the Met Office have now released their updated warning, but it's almost identical to the one they issued yesterday. Still worth keeping an eye on though for possible further updates.

It's not often you see a warning like this :

I'm glad I'm not on a ferry tonight.

Blowy and rainy but we've had worse. Some weather reports reckon it will be over by 07:00 whilst others are saying midday.

It's a bit wild out there tonight with wind gusts exceeding 50mph at Raf Northolt, and gusts exceeding 30mph for the last 24 hours. On the plus side it's been very mild with temperatures reaching 16c in some parts of the country.

Once this system has passed through temperatures are likely to drop quite noticeably in our region, but only briefly.

The strong Jet Stream and and the Atlantic Ocean are likely to be the main influence of our weather in the next few days, and with that in mind, there is the potential for a significant storm to develop and affect the UK around Wednesday or Thursday next week.

The most recent Met Office severe weather warnings for our region are throwing in everything bar the kitchen sink :

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weat ... 1421107200

Rain, gale, snow and ice warnings are now in place to cover the next few days. It's a volatile situation and one which is always subject to change, so please keep an eye on the Met Office warnings. They are usually updated shortly before midday, but that may well change as things develop.

Thanks for reading, and take care.

So far nothing too serious.

I noted most of the bridges 'oop norf' were closed to high siders yesterday including no pedestrians on the Forth Bridge. According to the BBC one minute it's doom and gloom and the next it's just a mild warning.
