Not as bad for Eastbourne next week. Just a bit of drizzle for a few days.

I can only hope you are right Kremmen but that's not what I am seeing in the most recent forecasts for this neck of the woods. :(.

Whatever the weather though I hope you enjoy all that this part of the country has to offer.

Yep, all turned around again, as weather does. Gales and rain later.

I'm doing the 12X from Eastbourne to Brighton today. Top deck along the coast road in a gale should be just the job.

I bet that was an interesting ride K ! I hope you enjoyed the view of Cuckmere Haven shortly after leaving Eastbourne, it's a beautiful spot.

A weather website I'm a member of has posted a warning of possible tornado activity along the South Coast between Isle of Portland and Kent overnight. The warning is valid from 0100-0700 hours. I certainly wouldn't rule it out based on the information they have posted. There have been several confirmed tornado sightings in The Midlands on Monday.

Slightly off topic but you might be interested to know that with tomorrow marking the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain 10 groups of Spitfires & Hurricanes totalling 40 in number will be taking off from Goodwood and flying to various airfields in the South & East. The first group is scheduled to take off at midday and thereafter in 4 minute intervals. 3 of the routes being flown will take the aircraft right over Eastbourne and Hastings.

Weather permitting of course.

More wet than dry but OK in the main.

Came out and aimed for the A22 although the SatNav wanted me to do the A27/M23 for speed.

Happy New Year folks. 2015 was a game changer for me so my apologies for not posting as much as I wanted to but I hope to post more in 2016, if anyone is still interested.

December 2015 seems to have been a record breaker here in the Uk but I'm still checking the final figures. The first week of January 2016 seems set to continue the unsettled weather pattern with temperatures close to or slightly above average, and low pressure is never far away.

Looking slightly further ahead though I'll be keeping a closer eye on developments around January 7/8th. The potential is there for a quite severe storm to develop and affect London and The South East.

Moley.

I feel sorry for the people up north flooded out on successive days.

Must be horrible.
