I think most of the people who posted about this 'Foe' discussion started off with intelligible comments Bedwyn. But also saw it as not that important as the Friend/Foe set up is common place on most websites so it's something we have to put up with.
So as usually happens on this site, posts then get jovial, and NOT personal. Lifes too short to worry how websites are set up.
I think the reason most of us like this site because of it's friendliness and the fact that we can joke about the non serious stuff.

[quote="bedwyn"
I have in the past disagreed with opinions of others, but if they are spoken genuinely then they deserve to be taken notice of, and have very often enhance my learning.
I an but a simple soul but after too world wars lets us treasure our comments should we agreed to disagreed at times, not to be hidden away in a so called foe's list
.[/quote]

I see your point Bedwyn, but having been on here for some years, there has been times when people get upset and angry over differences of opinions as unfortunately not everyone finds it easy to respect the other person's view, so using the 'Foe' option hopefully helps.
I also think you have got the wrong idea about the options Bedwyn, and I now realise why it sounds a bit 'off' to you!
NB. NO POSTS ARE HIDDEN IN THE 'FOE' SET UP! (It's NOT a closeted set up!) If anyone chooses someone as a 'Foe' then all that happens is that the 'foe' doesn't see the person's posts on the MAIN site and they don't see the 'foe's' either!

Pam, I will come straight to the point we are Foes Apart, as part of your answer i cannot understand
the mentality of it. it is our democratic right to please or offend but not to libel,to agreed with some and maybe disagreed with others,not to hid behind a FOES POLICY if you are not in agreement because
that's is what you are saying is being implemented here, in my life i have had to face out friend and foe
alike immaterial of the out come.
In some ways i could expect a behaviour such as this from five or six year old in a school playground.
