Yesterday not as bad as predicted but Eastbourne got a dose.

I presume Moley got a tad damp down that way?

A tad wet on on that day but an absolute soaking here today. ( Monday August 24th 2015 ). I really do feel for folk who have chosen this week to come down to the South Coast for their holiday. The forecast for the rest of the week is not too good either.

Yes, I saw that Eastbourne and Tunbridge got another soaking on Monday. I'm down there in a couple of weeks

Hello Kremmen, when and where are you planning to come down here ?

August in this neck of the woods was a pretty poor month overall, but last week was the worst week of the summer beyond a shadow of doubt. Frequent torrential downpours and grey sullen skies for most of the week.

Rainfall totals for August locally ( East Sussex and Kent ) have been widely recorded at between 100-150mm's ( 4-6 inches ), and one reliable amateur weather station in Eastbourne has recorded over 250mm's ( 10 inches ) for the month. There have been some very localised storms, and the most recent of those occurred over the Bank Holiday weekend, two nights in a row.

Cool and often cloudy seems to be the pattern for the next few days here in the South East.

I'm in Eastbourne from the 12th to the 17th (arrive, depart).

1) So behave yourself
2) Make sure the weather behaves itself

:D

I am always on by best behaviour Mr K, I cant say the same for the weather though. The first week of Autumn has seen a more or less repeat pattern of the last week of Summer down here, but with slightly less rainfall. Mostly cloudy, occasional heavy showers and feeling decidedly cool so far this week.

I will see what I can conjure up for your visit.

Oh dear, I do hope you aren't going to put the mockers on it Kremmen. The week ahead looks quite reasonable with more in the way of sunshine and temperatures around average for the time of year, should remain dry as well until.............the day you arrive

Please don't do this to me !

I'm not a beach person so a bit of dribble won't worry me. I reckon a trip on the 12X to Brighton one day is in order as I have a free England wide bus pass :)
