Are we being deliberately and unnecessarily panicked? Fear stories are being constantly directed against our minds, and what was once known as our ‘common sense’. Have we all become mainstream media induced snowflakes who are afraid of our own shadows? Extreme winter weather forecasts have been directed at us since before the end of last summer. The media cannot get enough of forecasts of snow- bombs, wind-bombs, named storm- bombs, even meteor attacks from deep space.
We are being programmed to believe that the earth’s atmosphere is on the verge of collapse, a man-made climate change disaster that only Britain can avert by destroying its economy, whilst the rest of the world is building hundreds of coal-fired power stations, and happily expanding their economies
A new flu, a global pandemic whipped up by the mainstream media and political class, dressed up as a possible Chinese attack on the the whole world. Flu always kills the weak, the vulnerable, and the frail elderly. But to listen to the mainstream media we should all be terrified, any new strain of flu will always affect larger numbers of people, more than any virus that has previously visited us. I’ve had two bad cases of flu in my now long life; as it happens, both of them after receiving the flu vaccine.
It seems that the constant media message is: many of you are going to die. Note: It is OK for the media and political class to warn us of possible death, but it is less convenient to promulgate the good news that there is hope of eternal life for those who hear and heed the message of good news - strange isn’t it?
Well, I have a message for all those harbingers of fear-inspiring bad news. Yes we are ALL going to die - sometime, because our death is “appointed and then the judgement”; for the vast majority of us, it is the time of death that we do not know - but it is getting closer every day, every breath we draw is one breath closer to our “appointed time”. We only have to look in a mirror to see that the end is drawing closer every day. But, we can know that we have eternal life, sadly for many, that good news is just too painful to bear, the cost is too high; we would prefer to hope that elected politicians and their systems can extend our fragile lives on this rock for a few more orbits around the innocent sun that does not warm the earth.
Here is the bad news followed by the good news; from he book of Hebrews in the New Testament, Chapter 9: verses 27 -28 27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
Now, isn’t that free good news (paid for on the Cross of Jesus Christ) far better than those constant fear-inducing messages we pay to hear and read every day?
