In the week it became known the UK had slipped back into a double dip recession it is great to see the Execs at LBH taking a lead!! The chief executive although that it probably for headlines in the local paper at least. Attachment: LBH Council.JPG [ 100.34 KiB | Viewed 6958 times ] Yesterday we heard much about the debt crisis. Its about time these people and their raised sense of entitlement realised they are part of the problem not the solution.... Edit to add... The figures which look wrong one is quoting a rise of 800 odd% are in fact correct as I believe these persons were laid off and these were their golden handshakes.... |

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/council-spending/8830578/Council-bosses-use-credit-cards-for-lavish-lifestyles.html Quote: Council bosses presiding over the deepest cuts since the Second World War are using their taxpayer-funded expenses and credit cards to fund a lavish lifestyle of five-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants and retreats at exclusive golf resorts and spas, The Daily Telegraph can disclose. Oh Yes togetherness is the new way........ You read stories like this you grow quite weary of the blatant arrogance of these people. It is a club for the well-connected and elite. In the private sector you have a choice as to whether you 'feed the beast,' in the public sector and quasi-public sector you don't. Council bosses align themselves with CEO's of Large Companies in the private sector and say that as they have control of similar sized budgets and numbers of staff. On this basis they say they should be paid the same amounts. The differences are staggering Councils are spoon fed revenue whereas the private sector has to earn it and it marked on how much they can earn. Over the recent period they have taken the piss; the largesse is staggering, and yet to a man or woman, there will be nothing special or genius-like about these people. There is neither justification nor need to pay these salaries. Though don't expect anything to be done about it. What we have is structural troughing because the system is out of control. The latest wheeze is for them to declare sovereign like status get awarded a credit rating and borrow on the international markets to keep this largesse going.....to keep the ponzi and high wages going by borrowing against future taxpayer revenue.... You honestly couldn't make this up..... http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/Birmingham-given-AAA-credit-tele-2410378039.html Quote: Birmingham City Council has secured a AAA credit rating, paving the way for the country’s largest local authority to borrow from banks and the capital markets.
Moody’s gave the council a AAA rating, while Standard & Poors’ awarded it a AA+, with a stable outlook a more positive rating than enjoyed by the United States Federal government. |

And how many of those job titles listed above will have to account to the electorate next week? |

Countrywide it will be about the same number who have completed the obligatory 'Common Purpose' course...... Councils already know the scale of the depression yet to come is going to reduce their tax receipts as many will simply be unable to pay. It is for this reason they are looking to borrow on the international markets so they can maintain the levels of current spending, their importance leading of course to their salary levels.... What they and politicians of all ilks fail to understand is this borrowing (including that made at National level) is underwritten by future tax receipts. The politicians at National level have already mortgaged the future unborn in that they will start work in a high tax environment. Councils are now looking to lump an additional borrowing cost onto Council tax and it is plain wrong!! |

geezer466 wrote: Countrywide it will be about the same number who have completed the obligatory 'Common Purpose' course...... I totally agree about the Common Purpose influence. Common Purpose at local level; Bilderbergers at national level. That’s precisely why there is no real difference of policy between the Lib, Lab, Green, and Con Parties; their Purpose is Common to the global project.geezer466 wrote: Councils already know the scale of the depression yet to come is going to reduce their tax receipts as many will simply be unable to pay. It is for this reason they are looking to borrow on the international markets so they can maintain the levels of current spending, their importance leading of course to their salary levels.... Councils and central Government should know about the scale of the depression – they are actively playing a huge part in creating it. Do you think any of this is accidental? To end up in the economic mess we are in doesn't just happen - it takes detailed planning and years of application to achieve. The policy has to be applied across almost all local authorities, and by successive national Governments. Is it an accident that Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, UK, and the USA are bust all at the same time? geezer466 wrote: What they and politicians of all ilks fail to understand is this borrowing (including that made at National level) is underwritten by future tax receipts. The politicians at National level have already mortgaged the future unborn in that they will start work in a high tax environment. I disagree that politicians of all ilk “fail to understand” that borrowing is underwritten by the taxpayer. These people KNOW very well what they are doing; that's why they perform according to the Common Purpose. Is it coincidental that most local authorities employ the same types of economy-destroying jobsworths? Is it pure chance that in a short space of time that so many apparently sane politicians and local agents suddenly become AWARE of the CO2 supposed threat, and apply the demands of the UN's Agenda 21?geezer466 wrote: Councils are now looking to lump an additional borrowing cost onto Council tax and it is plain wrong!! It's far more than just "plain wrong"; it's treason; it plays into the hands of the globalists; it's economically destructive, and they KNOW it.

Many of those job titles in Geezer466's first post above appear to be more grandiose than necessary. I have suggested some more traditional and less expensive job titles: Chief Executive – Town Clerk Corporate Director for Central Services & Deputy Chief Executive – Deputy Town clerk Corporate Director for Planning, Environment, Education, Community Services, & Deputy Chief Executive – Deputy, Deputy Town Clerk Deputy Director, Finance – Accountant Head of Human Resources – Personnel Manger Borough Solicitor - Legal Advisor Head of Procurement – Senior Buyer Head of Corporate Communications – Publicity Agent Head of Democratic Services – Elections Facilitator Deputy Director, Education – Clerk, Deputy, Education Head of Transportation and Planning – Transport Manager Head of ICT and Business Services – Communications Facilitator Director of Environment and Consumer Protection – UN's Agenda 21 Facilitator |

The more grand the title the greater the 'sense of entitlement'. You and I know they are nothing special but by giving themselves grand titles it makes it sound like (and more importantly the gullible public think) they are worth the large amounts they draw from taxpayers.... I read somewhere recently the LBH council pension scheme is about £50 million in the red (or was in 2009 so is probably much worse now) I bet somewhere someone is conning a grand wedge to manage that..... |

I'm really shocked. If I'd had to guess, I'd have imagined the Chief Exec would be on about £100k, and directors on £75-80k. Those salaries are a gross abuse of taxpayers' money. |

why on earth would they want a pension when on that sort of money, jeez if you cant put enough away while drawing that sort of salary, you are not fit for the job, I managed to contribute to that pension at the expence of my own, that is only a portion of what they get, |
