Some folk use any excuse these days it seems, a birthday or wedding perhaps ? Nothing heard around here tonight and there usually is if it's a religious festival.

Diwali is supposed to be the festival of light not of light, bangs and keeping your neighbours up till all hours regardless of religion.

They banned Xmas decorations in some towns, why not ban outside Diwali festivities ?

It cuts both ways

Whenever I visit my dad in Southall there always seems to be fireworks going off at any time of the year. :) I don't mind though, I quite like fireworks.

What, even from 22:00 through to 02:00 in the morning ?

One of my neighbours had a go a few years ago and set off what I think was a 'display' firework and it shattered his patio door glass - that'll teach him.

I don't mind them at any time. They don't really keep me awake.

There's been fireworks going off here in Milton Keynes most evenings the past week or so. Not sure why though.

Setting them off after 22:00 is still anti-social in my book. They obviously don't care about young children, animals, early starters, etc.
