Many people who had holidays or live in Portreath will be sorry to see that the old hut has gone and the harbour wall damaged.

On the video of the storm, a white house can be seen in the background behind the harbour wall and higher up on the cliff.
I was told that this was a place wounded soldiers went to stay at during the war.
