May I wish Every resident of Hayes, Past and Present a Very happy Christmas and New Year I left Hayes {York Avenue) in 1968 after living there for 27 years I know its nothing like now as it was when I lived there but! the good memories will last with me forever

Hello Michael,
It was so good to see your message. Yes, I remember meeting you from Tudor Road times. The road had changed dramatically the last time I saw it. The appearance of the houses used to be quite similar, with hedges along the front of most gardens. Now, most of the houses seem to look different to one another with so many alterations like porches and concreted front gardens with not many boundary fences or hedges. I only saw one that reminded me of the past appearance but I may have missed some if there were more.

I also hope that you are keeping OK.
