I am going on a date today The best type there ever is She is the most beautiful girl, I can’t ever have With a mind that thinks like me We laugh at the same things We share our thoughts with glee We tried before to meet up To have a chat, and catch up But we missed each other that time So this is to make up I can’t hold her hand, or kiss her This is a meeting of dear friends But how I wish it could be different This meeting to make amends I can hear her in my mind Asking what’s to be She can hear my answer Without talking, next to me I would not swap this day For anything She helps me when I’m down Everyone else thinks I’m happy Acting like a clown. So it will be a good day Walking with a love Sharing thoughts and wishes But there comes the rub I feel lost without her But complete when she’s with me But the time I feel most lonely?? Is when she’s walking next to me? |
