Popped in to Forbuoys newsagents in Kingshill Ave on the way home from work this morning, and they were in a bit of a state. Big chunks of the ceiling were missing.

Turns out over the weekend, burglars broke in to the empty flat above the shop, ripped out some water pipes for the copper and left water cascading down into the shop below. The man behind the counter showed me a video on his phone of the water pouring through the ceiling and the flooded floor below. They've made a good job of getting back to normal, but I took a couple of pix on the phone...

I hope they catch these idiots/lowlife and turn a hose onto them.

High time this Government regulated the ad hoc sale of metals to scrap merchants.

If they banned cash transactions and moved it it all to account only and bank/credit transfer for payment it would eradicate most of this and the thievery and desecration of war memorials overnight.

But then I expect there are powerful people in this industry who like a spot of lunch in high places.
