How did the people elected to power ever feel their voters deserved to be treated like this???


The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency has sold sensitive personal details of more than 7,000 drivers to a convicted criminal and his company.
Today’s revelation comes despite the quango’s promises to clean up its act in the wake of a similar scandal seven years ago.
Yet The Mail on Sunday can disclose that the DVLA sold motorists’ names and addresses to a parking enforcement company just seven weeks after it admitted dozens of criminal offences.

Agency chiefs knew that Observices Parking Solutions and boss Douglas Harris had been fined £29,850 after a court ruled it had been ‘recklessly unfair’ to drivers last year – but they still sold on the personal details.

The Mail on Sunday can also disclose the DVLA has sold 4.85 million drivers’ names and addresses to parking enforcement firms in the past six years at £2.50 a time – without checking if the companies’ use for the private information was legitimate.

only the police , or people with a warrant from a judge should be able to see the information
as it infringes your privacy

As far as I understand, if you get a fine through the post from these 'companies' it's only an invitation to pay and is not enforceable as you are not legally obliged to disclose who was driving ?

On a similar theme with Lombardy under one of these schemes/scams with no return within 2 hours, what if you buy something that's faulty and you have to take it back straight away?

I'm going to avoid Lombardy for just this reason I think.

Question is will the chief exec of DVLA face prosecution under the DPA for what looks like clear breaches?

I could look up the relevant sections but I am sure it will contain words to the effect of 'due diligence' 'and 'persons of good character'.
Bottom line DVLA did not perform due diligence and if ti had it would not have passed sensitive information to persons not of good character and likely to misuse that information.

I would go further here and say not only was information being misused, it was being misused to demand money with menaces. The DVLA are co-conspirators to this offence in that they looked to gain from the enterprise.

I think we already know the answer to that one!!

Now is the time to buy shares in companies who produce whitewash and brushes as there will be an awful lot of covering up to do, simple rule for every action, there is a reaction, (but will it?)

It is the same people who drive the media story to justify this and like good serfs the public swallow it.

That is a very good question. But like so many decisions made by the political elite, their reasons and motives are very difficult to fathom out: unless we accept there is a malevolence at work, and a bent towards evil.

Please also note what makes today's story different from other similar ones recently. In this case, the DVLA sold names and addresses to these people even though it KNEW they had just been convicted of criminal activity.

It wasn't just that they seemed, like many of these outfits, dodgy. They had only just been convicted and had a £30,000 fine. Yet still the DVLA sold drivers names and addresses to them.

Who would EVER have thought it possible that Great Britain's government departments could behave in such a manner? Malevolence indeed.

Along with that original question above, we could similarly ask:

Why does Government, the current and previous one, deliberately and artificially raise the cost of energy with green taxes and carbon prices, knowing full well that the policy is causing unnecessary grievous hardship?

Why do Governments wilfully ignore all the evidence that clearly shows there is no man-made global warming or climate change? Why do they insist on pursuing a policy that is so full of holes that a child can see it?

Why have successive Governments watched over the running down of the UK's power generation sector; to the point that it is now at breaking point? This situation has NOT suddenly developed over-night – it has been obvious for decades.

Why have successive Governments deliberately turned a blind eye to uncontrolled immigration?

Why do Governments deliberately and knowingly engage in unaffordable levels of public expenditure?

Why do Governments insist on 'creating a multi-culture' society to the detriment of the indigenous population?

Why do Governments, especially a supposedly Conservative led Government, actively support the weakening, and eventual destruction of the traditional married family unit?

Why have endless Governments supported the UK's membership of the undemocratic, profligate, unaccountable, power-crazy, and nonsensical EU without consulting the British electorate?

Why have Governments overseen the inversion of the justice system from one that favoured the innocent, to one that positively favours the criminal?

Why are prudent, responsible, self-reliant, hard-working, members of society disadvantaged against the imprudent, irresponsible, and dependent members of society?

We could ask many other equally pertinent questions.

It is very difficult to come any other rational conclusion: There is treachery, even treason, in high places - and in some not-so-high places.
