Cameron has finally let the truth slip out; he wants to see an EU with one currency and one single government.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... nment.html

Quote:
“We want the euro area to succeed,” Mr Cameron said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Cameron goes on to say:
Quote:
“We think that single currencies really require single governments if they are going to work properly.”

At last, we now know for sure what we are voting for when we vote LibLabGreenCon at the polls

What do you think is going on Jon?

Do you think Cameron intended to tell us?

Is he testing us?

Is he now so confident in the final outcome that he no longer sees the need for subterfuge?

Cameron is a one term PM. In general terms of everything he is insignificant, in any event a sizeable part of the Tory party is Eurosceptic and would remove him in a heartbeat if he tried to take us in. We are closer now to getting a referendum on the future of Europe than we have been at any time since 1972....

The Eurozone (in its current form) is doomed. It will be shrinking not getting larger. Greece will be going to another election where the anti austerity parties are likely to increase their share of the votes. Once this happens Germany will be faced with a very stark choice, underwrite continual Greek profilgy at the expense of German taxpayers (not good for any politician there which supports this) or cut them free.

Across the channel Hollande will not be able to begin the huge public spending program he has promised to get elected. The moment he tries to start it the markets will react and France will start down the slippery slope that Greece, Portugal and Ireland are already at the bottom of and Spain is hanging on by its fingernails.....

Meanwhile slippery Milliband is sitting in the wings.......... He know the British people have short memories and will be stupid enough to vote Labour in next time round....

Geezer,
I agree that Cameron is a one-term PM. I'm not convinced that the Tory is Party is as Eurosceptic as you suggest it is though.

I also agree that the Euro-zone (in its current form) is very unlikely to be its final form. But if we understand the mindset of those who believe there is no such thing as a crisis, only an opportunity. Could it be that the current 'crisis' across the Euro-zone is an 'opportunity' to birth something we, the public, have not yet imagined or foreseen?

Cameron, Clegg, Miliband, and all the others enjoying the political limelight, are nothing more than useful idiots, they will be expendable, if and when the time is right. Cameron, Clegg, and Miliband provide the general public with the illusion of democracy; but even there it isn't difficult to see through the charade.

I'm not convinced that Germany, or even some other power, will not be prepared to pick up the cost of a broken Europe. The Romans, Germans and the French have proven in the past that they were more than prepared to inflict enormous damage across Europe when it suited their respective ambitions of a larger power-base. Wide-spread damage, pain, and human suffering has never inhibited a power-grab in the past. An economically broken Europe would be an open invitation to a would-be aggressor. And frankly, it is difficult not to interpret political and economic policies of recent years as being deliberately weakening and destructive.
