It worked so well last time didn't it!! More price rises as Sterling Devalues.... The pound in your pocket will be worth less.

Doing precisely what we've done eighteen times before is exactly the last thing they'll expect us to do this time General Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett said......

No mention of Moral Hazard in Merv the Swerve's speech last night.

Therefore if these loans which they will force the banks to make go bad, and many will guess who gets to underwrite the losses!!

This really is desperation stuff.

Positive proof they really don't know what they are doing.

You would think that Osborne, as a student of history, would at least realise that printing money never solved anything. Better get the wheelbarrows ready to carry the paper to the bakers.

A couple of evenings ago Dr Ross Altmann was on Sky's Jeff Randall program, being interviewed about the affects of QE on savings and pension funds. At the end of the interview Jeff Randdall said to Ross Altman: “For some time now I have wanted to ask you how you rate Mervyn King as the Governor of the Bank of England, on a scale of 1 to 10”. Ross Altmann smiled, croaked a couple of unintelligible sounds, went silent, thought about it – and eventually said “ZERO”. To which Jeff Randall responded: “And that is from one of the governors of the LSE”.

We are in a hole, the first rule of that, is to stop diging, and all we do is give away spades to anybody willing to help, and its all my fault, because I dont live outside my means. :o :o

Absolutely right! If the situation weren't so serious it would be hilarious.

Newsnight last night reporting it now as people inside the Government being very worried about the state of the economy and what may happen in Sundays Greek election.

Paul Mason saying it is like inflating an air bag before the accident - the accident being the Greek election. Says they are doing it because "we expect very very dire events in the eurozone".

So this thing called Europe now turns out to be a huge millstone round our neck?

All we wanted was a level trading playing field, instead we got a botched attempt at monetary union, a number of countries being given access to huge sums of money they should never have had leading step by step to a global financial collapse.

The UK's problem is our Banks exposure to all these bad loans across the Eurozone which are about to go toxic.... I didn't ask the Banks to give them that money? But I bet they all took huge bonuses for the most excellent work they did in giving them!!
